Update: A dealer told me my price guides were out of date for vintage tools

I used to price old hand planes by looking at a 2018 book, but a man at the Springfield swap meet said, 'Those numbers are cold, you need to check online auctions every month.' I started tracking sold listings on eBay and raised my prices by about 30 percent on average. How do you all keep your pricing current without spending hours on it?

Honestly, I check local estate sale prices too (they're often cheaper).

My aunt got a solid oak dining table for like a hundred bucks at an estate sale last year. It just needed a little polish. Some of those old pieces are built way better than new stuff.
