Had a debate with my dad about "Tales from the Crypt" being horror or comedy. He says it was pure horror, I say it was campy on purpose. Which side is right?

Tell your dad he's half right - those Crypt Keeper puns were way too cheesy to be pure horror. The show walked the line on purpose, that's exactly why it worked so well.
