Vent: I spent a whole weekend trying to remember a show from 2003 and it drove me nuts
It was this weird cartoon about a kid detective and his pet robot, I think it was called 'Milo's Mysteries' or something close. I could picture the blue robot and the theme song but couldn't find it anywhere online for days. Finally found an old forum post calling it 'Milo's Casebook' and it all came flooding back. Did anyone else watch this on Saturday mornings back then?

Oh man, I remember that show. I think the robot was actually green, not blue. It had that weird antenna that spun around when he got a clue.

Forget the color, the real question is why a robot needed a spinning antenna to get a clue. The whole point of being a robot is having instant computer access. Makes you wonder if the antenna was just for show, like a prop to make him look more robot-y to the kids watching.

Yeah, the spinning antenna thing was totally for show! I read an interview with one of the show's creators once. They said kids at the time thought robots should have moving parts like that, so they added the spinning antenna to make the "thinking" process visual. It was like a little light bulb moment for the character, but with a robot twist. The whole point was to be fun and silly, not realistic.
