Serious question, I always thought the old sand reclamation units were a waste of time.
I was cleaning up after a pour yesterday and heard Mike from the core room say he gets an extra 30% life out of his molding sand by running it through the old Simpson mixer twice. I tried it on a small batch today and the grain structure looked way better. How many of you guys are doing something similar with your reclaim systems?
