Can we talk about freelance hubs popping up in unexpected places?

I was grabbing coffee at Joe's Cafe last Thursday and saw a sign for a freelance mixer in the back room. Turns out the owner lets local independents use the space for free on slow afternoons. I decided to check it out and ended up chatting with a copywriter who gave me tips on cold emailing. We swapped stories about tricky clients and shared some laughs. Another freelancer there hooked me up with a lead for a small biz website project. It's wild how much you can learn just from hanging out in your own neighborhood. I've made three solid contacts there already. Honestly, keep an eye out for these low-key spots near you.

Yeah it's crazy where these things pop up... I found a group that meets at the park near me sometimes, just on blankets with laptops. Way better than some stuffy paid networking event.

Once caught a coding session at a laundromat, @jade738.

What makes a spot feel right for these meetups anyway?
