That one client who told me my invoices were confusing changed everything

Back in 2019 a client in Austin straight up said my invoices looked like a mess and she couldn't tell what she was paying for. I switched to a simple one-page format with clear line items and due dates, and my payment time went from 45 days down to 14 on average. Has anyone else had a client give them feedback that actually improved their process?

45 days to 14" is wild. I once got told my emails sounded mad and fixed my whole business.

Yeah, that's a pretty big jump in turnaround time. People don't realize how much their tone affects the response they get from clients. One thing though - 45 days to 14 days usually involves more than just fixing email tone. You probably also streamlined your process or cut out some steps. @phoenixa64 it's not really just about sounding nicer, you know? The actual workflow has to change too. Still, good on you for making that kind of improvement, it's not easy to cut that much time off.
