Spent a whole afternoon trying to make my own oat milk
Thought it would be simple and save cash. Took me four tries to get it from slimy to drinkable. What's your best trick for making it not separate?

Save cash" is the part that gets me lol. After all that time and wasted oats, you're definitely not saving money. Just buy the carton, it's way less hassle and actually tastes good.

Honestly the real cost is the emotional damage from your fifth failed oat milk batch tasting like wet cement. At some point you've spent more on therapy than you'd ever save on groceries. My kitchen looked like a science experiment gone wrong for weeks. Just admit defeat and grab the carton like the rest of us.

Actually find it gets cheaper after the first few tries, once you nail your method. The trick is using really cold water and not blending too long, maybe 30 seconds max. A tiny pinch of salt helps stop separation too. My last batch stayed mixed in the fridge for almost five days.
