Pro tip: I heard a guy say he resold his kids' outgrown shoes for $40 a pair

I was at a park in Denver last weekend and overheard this dad talking to his buddy about selling toddler sneakers on Facebook Marketplace. He said he cleaned them up with a magic eraser and listed them for half retail, and they sold in two days. It never crossed my mind that worn shoes could flip that fast. Has anyone else had luck with kid stuff like that?

Oh yeah, "half retail" and a magic eraser magically transforms used shoes into cash. I can already picture someone scrubbing their kid's crusty sneakers like a man possessed while their toddler is crying in the background for a snack. Honestly though, I bet those shoes still smell like playground mulch and stale Goldfish crackers no matter how much you clean them. For $40 a pair, maybe I'll just start decanting my own kid's shoes and pretending they're "gently worn" from some Instagram influencer's toddler.
