Just realized I've bought my brother-in-law 27 different hot sauces for his birthday over the years.
It started as a joke gift after he said he liked spicy food, but now I'm looking at my Amazon history and wondering if I should finally get him a proper gift or just lean into the bit and find a 28th.

Saw a guy online who did this with socks for a decade. The bit is the gift now.

A whole decade of socks... that's like over three hundred and sixty pairs. I can't even imagine the drawer space that takes up. The guy must open his closet and just see a wall of sock boxes. At some point the gift stops being about the socks and becomes about keeping the story alive. It's kind of beautiful in a weird way, like a really long, slow joke only two people get.

Twenty-seven bottles is a real commitment to the bit. I mean, at this point a normal gift would just be confusing for him. You gotta see if you can hit thirty.
