Check the maker's lead time before you order, some artists book out a year in advance. Wyatt_shah85 has a point about speed, but honestly six months is pretty standard for a detailed quilt. I learned that the hard way when I commissioned a baby blanket and it took nine months, arrived after the shower.

Only six months? That's some record-breaking speed for a handmade gift (guess they were really taking their time with those stitches).

Question if six months is really that slow. Handmade items can take a long time to do right. Calling it record-breaking just makes a fuss over nothing.
