I finally asked my friend who runs a shop in Portland about his board repair success rate.

Honestly, I'd rather fix it right than just swap it. Tbh, three bad parts is nothing if you know what you're doing.

Pro tip: skip the foam brushes for poly, a cheap china bristle brush is a total game changer

Honestly, your buddy is totally right about the nylon brushes. I had that exact foam disaster on a table last year, and it was such a mess. Switched to a basic nylon brush from the hardware store and the difference was crazy. The bristles just hold their shape and don't leave those little bits in the finish. It seems so simple but it really fixes the whole bubble problem. I won't use anything else on water-based stuff now.

Can we talk about hitting 500 eggs in a month from just 8 hens?

Yeah, my buddy Dave had something like that happen. His six hens suddenly gave him over 300 eggs one month after he started adding their kitchen scraps, like old lettuce and melon rinds, to their usual pellets. He swore it was like flipping a switch. They just got super consistent, almost no days off. It only lasted that one peak season, but it was wild to see.

I switched from a standard brush to a rotary whip system about five years back

Stretch the time between sweeps how much? Are you talking a full extra year for some clients, or just a few extra months?

Why does nobody talk about the humidity in a Florida bathroom during a shower door install?

Yeah, that bit about the glass needing to be dry... it's like a lot of things where the surface has to be perfect for the fix to work. I see it with painting walls or even putting on a screen protector. You can have the right stuff, but if the base isn't ready, it just fails.
