Saw my sister get another generic candle for her birthday. It's a total waste.

She has a specific scent she loves, Sandalwood Myrrh from a shop in Asheville. People keep buying her random florals she'll never burn. I learned to check her nightstand for the one brand she actually uses. Anyone have a go-to gift for someone who seems picky about scents?

Ever think a gift card was impersonal? That changed after I wasted money on the wrong candles.

A gift card to that specific shop is the opposite of impersonal. It shows you listened and want her to get exactly what she loves. That's way better than a guess she won't like.

Exactly. I used to think gift cards were lazy until I bought my sister a scarf she clearly hated. She wore it once for a photo and then it went to the back of her closet forever. Now I just hand her a card to her favorite bookstore and she picks out three novels instead. Way less stress for me and she actually gets stuff she wants.
