Had a guy at the torch show in Seattle change my mind about color layers

Watched a guy at the Eugene show do a three layer fade on a pipe... never seen anything like it. He just kept going over the same spot with different colors and it turned out wild. Really made me rethink how much work goes into that look.

Oh man that's exactly what I saw too! This guy at the Seattle show was layering colors on a simple spoon pipe and it was mind blowing... he'd hit it with blue then yellow then green and it blended into this crazy marble look. I stood there watching for like 20 minutes totally hooked. It really makes you appreciate how much practice and patience goes into those layered pieces. The way the colors mix without getting muddy is like magic honestly.
