A big job in Phoenix taught me to always check the frame first
We were replacing a huge storefront window, maybe 12 feet wide. Got the old glass out, ready for the new unit. My partner went to set it and it just would not fit. Boss came over, looked at the frame for like two seconds. Said, 'You didn't square it.' The whole metal frame had shifted over time. Had to pull everything, adjust the frame, then reset. Added a full day to the job. Now I always measure the opening diagonally before I even order the glass. Anyone else got a simple check they do first to avoid a headache?

Honestly I just trust the measurements they gave me.

Yeah, but josephc59, did they measure with a banana?

Saw a thing where they actually used bananas to measure radiation once.
