inI was crimping RJ31X plugs wrong for years until a customer pointed it out
Oh man, @paul_owens25, that hits home. My buddy wired up a whole home office in one of those places. He was so proud until the client called saying no internet worked in the east wing. Turns out he used the A standard on one end of the runs and B on the other. He had to re-punch every single jack. The diagram was face-down under his ladder the whole time.

inI was reading an old glass trade journal from 1978 and found a surprising fact
My grandpa worked at a glass factory in West Virginia in the 60s. He said the real trick was the team setup, where one guy would just gather the molten glass and pass it off, so the blower never stopped moving. That system is why the numbers were so high.

inUpdate: The shop debate over reusing head bolts on a 6.7 Powerstroke
So Dave's never had one stretch and lose clamp load? That's wild. What's the longest a truck with reused bolts has gone for him?

inJust realized my dad's old 'dumb' coffee maker might be better than my smart one after a chat with him.
That's just how things are now. My new washing machine has an app but sometimes forgets the rinse cycle. The old one just had a dial you cranked. More stuff to go wrong.
