The gas station in Flagstaff that wasn't there yesterday
I was driving back from the Grand Canyon last Tuesday and stopped at a gas station I've used maybe five times before. It's right off the highway, you know the one with the big blue sign. I filled up, went inside to pay, and the clerk was a guy named Dave who I've definitely seen there before. We chatted about the weather. But when I got back on the road, about ten miles later, I saw the exact same gas station, same blue sign, same layout, on the same side of the highway. I checked my map and my receipt, and I know I only stopped once. It felt like the place duplicated itself or I slipped into a copy. I've driven that route for years and never noticed two identical stations so close together. Has anyone else had a spot just seem to repeat itself like that?
