I mean once you start noticing it you see it everywhere. The cheap store brands try so hard to look fancy with those script fonts that are impossible to read, while the good ones make the important info pop without being a mess. It's wild how much it changes how you feel about a product before you even pick it up.

Totally agree, it's like a secret code once you see it. @the_david has a point about it feeling like hiding, I've passed on so many products because I couldn't quickly tell if it was gluten-free. The good brands put that stuff right under the name in a clean, bold font, no hunting needed.

Yeah the "impossible to read" script fonts thing is spot on. I always thought fancy meant good until I tried to figure out what was in a bottle of fancy looking sauce and gave up. Now I see it as a red flag, like they're hiding something. Good design makes the choice easy, not a puzzle.
