That time a client's skin reacted badly to a 'gentle' peel
I was in my treatment room in Phoenix, doing a lactic acid peel on a client who swore she had no sensitivity. About 3 minutes in, her skin went bright red and started stinging way more than normal. I stopped the peel immediately, neutralized it, and applied a cool compress with aloe. It calmed down after 20 minutes, but it was a clear sign her barrier was compromised from the start. Has anyone else had a client downplay their skin's condition before a treatment?
