Shoutout to the art director who told me my color palettes were too safe

I started pulling one bold accent color from my main image and using it for all my call-to-action buttons, which made my whole layout pop and actually increased click-throughs by 15% last quarter, so has anyone else gotten a piece of feedback that completely flipped a default setting you had?

Ever had a small fix snowball on you? I tried that once and ended up redoing half the project... sometimes the little things are connected to bigger stuff.
