Rant: My hands ache after long days with the shears

I've been getting this dull ache in my fingers and wrists, especially after doing lots of precise cuts or color work. It started a few months back, and I brushed it off as just being tired. But now it's sticking around, and I worry it might turn into something worse. My cousin, who's a massage therapist, told me to try warming up my hands before starting, like making fists and stretching them out. I've been doing that, and it helps a bit, but by midday, the ache creeps back. I even looked into those ergonomic scissors, but they're pricey. Maybe we should swap more stories on how to keep our hands healthy. This job is tough on the body in ways you don't always see.

My friend swears by soaking her hands in warm water with Epsom salt after long shifts.

Two years ago I called Epsom salt nonsense, but trying it for sore hands proved me wrong.
