Why does nobody talk about the new safety sensors on the Cat 336?

Honestly, I ran a 2015 336 for years on a site in Boise and thought the new 2023 models with all the proximity alarms and cameras were just overkill. Tbh, after using one for the last six months, I've had zero close calls with buried lines or guys on foot. It's not about being a bad operator, it's about having an extra set of eyes when you're tired after a 10-hour day. Has anyone else found these systems actually useful, or is it just more stuff to break?

That 2015 model in Boise didn't have a single camera. You're telling me you never once had a guy walk up on your blind side while you were swinging with a full bucket? Not once? I find that hard to believe. The new system beeped at me last week for a gas line marker I straight up did not see. It's just a beep, but it makes you stop and look.

My 2017 in Spokane had the same blind spot. I definitely clipped a porta-john door once because of it. That little beep would have saved me a very awkward conversation.
