My recent job had a heat pump short cycling all the time. A sensor swap did the trick. What's your method?

Sensor swap? Same here, but I check the filter first maybe.

Good call on the sensor swap. That's often the fix for short cycling, especially if it's the outdoor air temperature or coil sensor giving false readings. I always check the evaporator coil for icing too, as low airflow from a dirty filter or blower issue can mimic sensor problems. A quick amp draw check on the compressor during a cycle can tell you a lot.
