The hidden swimming spot off Route 175 in Thornton got ruined by loud music last weekend
I drove out to that little pull-off near the bridge where the water is deep enough to jump in. Quiet spot nobody talks about, been going there for maybe 5 years now. Last Saturday some group showed up with a bluetooth speaker blasting country pop at full volume for 3 hours straight. Nobody else could hear themselves think. Anyone else have a secret spot that got found out and wrecked?

...and that's EXACTLY why I don't post on any social media about spots I like. But here's my question for you man - did you say anything to them or just sit there steaming? Because I've been in that situation before and I always wonder if speaking up would've made a difference or if it just makes you the angry local who yells at clouds. I had a similar thing happen at a fishing hole up in Campton a few years back. A whole carload of teenagers rolled in blasting trap music right at 7am on a Saturday. I just packed up and left, but part of me wishes I'd at least asked them to turn it down.

angry local who yells at clouds" - nailed it @andrewh43. People just don't care anymore.

Is it really about speaking up though, or is it about how we've all stopped expecting basic decency from each other? Isn't that the real problem here?
