My credit isn't perfect, so the big banks are giving me terrible rates. Can anyone recommend a broker who works with a wide variety of wholesale lenders?

Honestly, going with a broker is a no-brainer here. When your credit's not great, the big banks will rip you off every time. A good broker has access to lenders you'd never find on your own. They can dig up programs that fit your exact situation, like christopherross said. I mean, it's crazy how much difference it makes in getting a fair rate. So yeah, find someone who shops around a lot, it's worth the effort.
