My washing machine was clicking for 6 months before i found the penny

I spent way too long listening to this rhythmic click every time the spin cycle hit max rpm. Turns out a single 2012 penny had wedged itself between the outer drum and the housing after falling through a hole in my shirt pocket. 6 months of annoyance solved in 30 seconds with a pair of tweezers. Has anyone else found random coins causing weird appliance noises?

lol oh man, that's such a frustrating thing because you KNOW something is off but you just can't find it. I had a similar thing happen with my dishwasher last year, it started making this faint scraping noise and I tore the whole thing apart before finding a dime stuck under the bottom spray arm. It's so weird how a tiny coin can make such a racket. Glad you finally got yours sorted, it's such a relief when the mystery is solved lol.

Man, pennies are just the worst for this stuff. I once found a nickel in my vacuum cleaner that made it sound like it was trying to eat rocks for a month. That little noise can drive you up a wall (and then it's gone in ten seconds flat).
