inGot told my conduit bends were too tight for 6 months straight
Bet you never thought about the actual conduit fill ratio underneath those tight bends. Frank was right about the radius, but here's the thing nobody talks about: even with a perfect 90, if your wire fill is over 40 percent, that tight bend turns into a friction nightmare anyway. I measure my fill first now and adjust my bender to match the load, not just the code minimum. That old timer probably saved you from a headache down the line, bet he had a reason for everything he did.

inQuestion about the new water-based clear coat from Sherwin-Williams
Ran into a friend who works at a bodyshop and he said they've seen it mostly on the white and silver Fords from the last couple years. He mentioned it's almost like the clear doesn't bond right on certain panels.

inShowerthought: I just read that a standard roll of carpet padding is 450 square feet, which is way more than I ever guessed.
Back when I first started doing flooring work I always assumed a roll of padding was like 300 square feet max, just based on how heavy and bulky the roll felt. But my buddy laid it out for me one day and I sat there watching it unroll across the whole living room and then some, I had to check the label myself. Turns out 450 square feet is totally right, it's just denser than you'd expect so it feels smaller on the roll. That math really changed how I plan my rooms now, I don't underestimate the coverage anymore.

inFound out my local food bank gets way more corporate donations than I thought
Actually that's a pretty common mixup. People think food banks run on just canned goods from donation bins, but the truth is most of their volume comes from grocery stores and food distributors. Those receipts you saw are probably the norm, not the exception. The grocery chains have programs where they donate stuff that's close to expiration or has damaged packaging that still fine to eat. Regular people donations are more like the cherry on top, they cover the specialty items or things the stores don't have. You'd be surprised how much of that 12,000 pounds was probably produce and dairy that would have gone in the trash otherwise.
