Stuck with an AI-generated plot twist in my novel
I tried a new AI tool that helps writers come up with story ideas. For my mystery book, it suggested the villain is the main character's pet parrot. The AI says this is a fresh take based on data, but it just feels odd. I'm not sure if I should change the story or keep the weird twist. Has anyone run into AI giving strange advice for creative projects? I could use some tips on when to follow AI ideas and when to ignore them. Maybe there are other tools that handle this better.

Ever wonder if the AI just mixes popular tropes without understanding why they work? A parrot villain might be data driven but it sounds silly lol.

Wait, a parrot villain? That's nuts. AI just grabs popular stuff and throws it together. A parrot? Come on. Villains need menace, not feathers. It proves the system doesn't get storytelling at all. Just mindless mixing from a database.

That parrot villain does sound odd, and I agree with stellahart about villains needing menace. Trust your gut on this one, the AI doesn't feel the story like you do.
