The lights went out at my place near UNM during that wind storm on Tuesday
I was sitting in the dark off Central for about 4 hours with no power and my old fuse box humming like it was gonna blow. Turns out the whole block lost it when a branch came down, and it made me miss the days when I actually knew my neighbors enough to go knock and borrow a flashlight. Does anyone have a good electrician around the university area who won't charge an arm and a leg to look at an old panel?
Sat in the dark on my couch for almost 5 hours that same night, just off Girard and Coal. My place has one of those ancient breaker boxes from the 60s and every time the wind picks up I swear it starts buzzing louder. Ended up eating cold pizza by candlelight like some kind of sad pioneer. Following this thread because I need someone to look at my panel too before it actually dies on me.
