Had to choose between finishing a show or starting a new one
Last month, I was halfway through a 24-episode anime but a friend kept pushing me to watch this new one-season show. I picked finishing the first one (it was '86'), and honestly I'm glad I did because the ending hit so hard. If I'd jumped ship, I think I would have missed that payoff. Anyone ever feel pressured to drop a show for something newer?
Honestly it's just tv shows, not a life choice. Tbh your friend probably forgot they even suggested it a week later. Finishing a show you like is fine, but acting like you dodged a bullet is a bit much. It's not that deep, you can always go back and watch the other one later. People get weirdly intense about their watch lists for no real reason.
Finishing '86' was absolutely the right call, that ending wrecked me for a week. Betty_white39 says it's not that deep, but a good ending changes how you see the whole story. Dropping it halfway would have ruined the whole experience.
