That one day last month when my Crunchyroll queue totally crashed on me

I had the whole weekend planned out to finally binge through that new mecha series everyone's talking about. I got my snacks ready, sat down on Saturday morning, and the site just kept buffering every five minutes. It got so bad I couldn't even get through a single episode without reloading the page three times. I checked my internet speed and it was fine, so it had to be their servers acting up again. I tried switching to the mobile app instead but it kept freezing on the same episode. After an hour of fighting with it I just gave up and watched an old DVD set I had lying around. Has anyone else hit a weekend where the streaming service just refuses to work?

Pausing for ten seconds actually works? That's nuts.

The part about giving up and watching an old DVD set really hit home for me... I ran into the same thing with that mecha series actually, it kept freezing during the big fight scenes. What finally worked was clearing my browser cache and switching to the HTML5 player instead of the default one in settings. Also found out if you pause a video for like 10 seconds before hitting play it gives the buffer time to catch up, that trick saved my whole Saturday afternoon.
