Unpopular opinion: I started watching anime episodes at 1.25x speed and it actually made me enjoy some slower shows more.
I tried it with the first 10 episodes of a fantasy series my friend recommended, and I could finally get past the drawn-out exposition to the good character moments, so has anyone else found a specific viewing habit that improved a show for them?

That's a really interesting idea, speeding up the slower parts. Do you ever feel like you miss subtle details in the animation or voice acting when you do that, or does the trade-off for better pacing feel totally worth it?

I started skipping the long intro songs on some shows and it made a huge difference. Getting right to the story kept me from getting bored and clicking away. It turned a few slow starters into shows I really liked.
