Hit 50,000 tree plantings on my crew this decade

I was going through my old job logs last night and added up all the trees my 3 man crew has put in the ground since 2015. Came out to a little over 50,000. That's a lot of holes dug by hand with shovels in Michigan clay. Most of those were 2 inch caliper oaks and maples for housing developments. The number surprised me because I never thought about the total, just the next job. Has anyone else tracked their lifetime plant count like this?

Funny how just doing the next job adds up to something big like that. I notice the same thing with a lot of things in life. Small steps day after day pile up before you know it. It's like how I look at my work truck - one good fix at a time keeps things running smooth for years. Makes you realize most big changes happen quiet and steady, not all at once.

Man I used to be all about the big dramatic moves, thinking you had to make some huge change to see results. But watching how stuff actually works in the real world, you're totally right. The little stuff adds up way more than I ever gave it credit for lol.
