Rant: The old Lincoln's Diner in Lebanon vs the new one is a total letdown
I went back to Lincoln's Diner in Lebanon last Saturday after not going for like 5 years. It used to be this greasy spoon where you'd get a massive plate of home fries for like 6 bucks and the waitress knew your order. Now it's all renovated with exposed brick and charging 14 dollars for a tiny avocado toast. What happened to the old crew who actually cooked stuff with butter and love? Has anyone else seen their favorite local spot get ruined by a makeover?

Wait, the old Lincoln's Diner didn't have avocado toast back then because it wasn't a thing yet, but I get your point about the home fries shrinking. They probably swapped out the real butter for some kind of spray.

Hayden's Diner went from 3 eggs for $1.99 to $14.50 for some avocado toast that tastes like cardboard. I swear the home fries went from actual potato chunks to those sad little frozen cubes that taste like a freezer burn sample. And the butter? Man, that spray stuff is just yellow water with a splash of chemical fake flavor. The old owner probably spins in his grave every time someone orders the "artisan scramble" that costs as much as a whole tire rotation.
