My kitchen door hinge squeak finally stopped after a quick adjustment.

Such a relief to have peace and quiet now, what small fix made your day better?

Last Tuesday at my cousin's place, I saw a similar hinge issue. Tbh, a quick adjustment might stop the noise for now, but it usually doesn't last. Honestly, hinges squeak because they're worn out or need oil. If you just tighten it, the problem often comes back in a few weeks. From my experience, you need to clean and oil the hinge properly. Otherwise, you're just putting off the real fix.

Ugh, so many problems are just band-aid fixes.

Oh man, you are so right. I did the exact same thing with my bathroom cabinet last month. Just gave the screw a quick turn and called it a day. Sure enough, two weeks later that awful squeak was back, even louder. I finally took the door off, wiped out all the old gunk, and used some 3-in-1 oil. It's been silent ever since. That quick fix is such a trap.
