High Desert Concrete Design vs Polished Concrete Company for a main floor remodel?

Polished concrete is definitely the way to go here in NM since almost everything is built on a slab. It actually brightens the room up a lot if you get a glossy finish because it reflects the natural light. Can't speak to Polished Concrete Company, but I have a neighbor who used High Desert for his entire house and he swears by their work. Said the pricing was really cost-effective too compared to laying down new tile or LVP.

Setting up for a curved wall had me waiting on the right tools

Imagine waiting that long for a tiny piece of metal that basically just makes holes. The hype around some of these specialty tools gets wild. By the time it shows up, the whole project you needed it for has probably fallen apart on its own. Your friend must have the patience of a saint, or their entire life is on hold for this one drill bit. Feels like ordering some rare artifact instead of a tool.

Heads up about coworkers borrowing your shears for other stuff

Have you ever seen someone's gear get ruined because people borrowed it without asking? My buddy Mike had his favorite drill left out in the shop, and it came back with a cracked handle. He was so mad, but instead of yelling, he bought a tough case with a combo lock. Now when people see it, they know not to touch his things without permission. It's like the case itself does the talking, and he doesn't have to get into arguments.

Appreciation post: My concrete bowl fail turned me into a curing believer

From my experience, PETG is the way to go for stuff that needs to bend a little without snapping. It's less brittle than PLA and handles everyday use pretty well. Just make sure your printer bed is level and you're golden.

My slow pour-over ritual finally clicked after a rainy morning

Yeah, letting things drip slow like that applies to so much, right @emman68?
