Rant: The 'Ask Anything' forum used to be way more helpful before last summer

I remember back in May, you could post a random question like 'how do I fix a wobbly ceiling fan' and get three solid, detailed answers from people who actually knew their stuff within an hour. Now, after whatever change happened around August, half the replies are just one-word guesses or links to spammy sites. It feels like the good regulars left and it's just noise now. What happened to the people who used to give real, step-by-step advice?

Wait, they changed something in August? I didn't even hear about an update. That explains why my question about a leaky faucet got a reply that just said "plumber" and a link to some sketchy site. Where did all the helpful people even go?

Found a smaller DIY forum that's still active. The good regulars seem to have moved there.
