Stacking filters on my telescope felt wrong until I saw the results
I always thought putting a UV filter on top of a light pollution filter would just kill the image, but I tried it last week on the Orion Nebula and the detail in the core was insane. The combo cut the skyglow from my neighbor's porch light way more than either filter alone. Anyone else stack filters or is that bad practice?

Ngl calling it "bad practice" feels like overselling it. Tbh stacking filters isn't exactly rocket science, it's more like putting on two pairs of sunglasses and hoping you don't look like a total goober.

But isn't the real issue just how much harder it makes finding bugs later?
