Took a customer's advice on brake jobs and it saved my wrists

Had this older guy come in last month, watched me bleed brakes the old way and said 'son, you're gonna kill your wrists doing that. Get a power bleeder.' I shrugged it off at first. But after three more brake jobs that week my hands were killing me. Finally borrowed his Motive bleeder and yeah, I was wrong. Cuts the time in half and no pumping. Cost me $110 for my own kit. Anybody else put off switching tools until your body forces you to?

Man, I dunno about ALL that. I've been pumping brakes by hand for twenty years and my wrists are fine. Maybe you just need to stretch more or something.

@the_finley I hear you on stretching, but what actually helped me was switching to a softer compound pad. Made a bigger difference than any warmup routine I ever tried.
