inMy tape measure epiphany after 220 miles of bike maintenance
Measuring things is for quitters, said nobody after fixing their knees.

inTook a free cybersecurity class in Austin, now I question every smart device
Your fridge doesn't need to know the weather forecast, it needs to keep stuff cold. That $40 plug saving you 50 cents a month is not worth giving some random stranger a remote control to your house. Lock it down now or enjoy the show when your smart kettle starts boiling itself at 3am just to mess with you.

inFinally found the old Cartoon Network bumper tape my brother taped over in 1997
Man, that hit me right in the gut. My dad still has a tape of us watching the Space Ghost marathon from '95, and every time I pop it in, it's like my whole childhood comes rushing back. Those old bumpers were pure magic, and you're lucky as hell that baseball game didn't eat the whole thing.

inThat "fast lane" shortcut on the 405 backed me up 40 minutes this morning
Wait, did the GPS actually reroute you through the express lane, or did you pick it yourself after seeing the gap in traffic? Because that matters a lot for whether the app is to blame or if it was just a bad call in the moment. The ones that factor in real-time merge delays usually avoid that trap, so what app were you using?

inTook a $700 job over my anniversary trip, wife was not thrilled
Walked into that same trap three years ago with a small engine repair job on our tenth anniversary. Thought I could knock it out in four hours, turned into a two day mess with a broken flywheel and a guy who paid me in half smoked cigars and a deer stand. My wife still brings it up every time we drive past that hardware store, and honestly, the cat on the couch is probably warmer company than I deserve. Do you think there's any way to turn this around, or are we both just stuck with cold shoulders and cranky felines for the next decade?
