Used to sketch star maps by hand, now I just use an app on my phone
Back in 2019 I would sit outside with a red flashlight and a notebook, drawing out where Jupiter and Saturn were relative to my neighbor's tree. Took forever and I'd mess up the scale constantly. Then I downloaded Stellarium after my buddy recommended it and now I can find anything in seconds, even faint stuff like the Ring Nebula. Anyone else feel like apps took some of the fun out of it, or am I just being nostalgic?
