Finally got my bank to reverse a $35 overdraft fee after a 15-minute call

I'm honestly shocked they agreed to waive it since I've used that excuse twice this year already, anyone else get lucky with fee reversals from Chase or another big bank?

Man, I'm going the other way on this one. Overdraft fees are basically the penalty for spending money you don't have, and banks should stick to their policies or everyone would just start calling in every month. You got lucky, but eventually they'll stop playing ball if you keep pushing it, right?

My last overdraft fee reversal was my 4th one this year at Bank of America and they still did it no questions asked. I just said I had a direct deposit coming in later that day and the guy was like "okay one time courtesy" even though it was clearly not my first time. Honestly these banks make billions off fees alone they can spare the $35. If you're polite and don't act entitled they'll cave almost every time because they'd rather keep you as a customer than lose you over chump change.
