Hit 500 haircuts in my book and it made me see my shop differently

I mean, I just crossed 500 cuts since opening my spot in Tacoma six months ago. I was only checking the numbers because my booking app sent a note, idk. Seeing that exact figure made me realize how many regulars I've built up, maybe it's just me but it feels solid. Anyone else get a number that shifted how you view your work?

That's a crazy number for six months, good for you. I hit 200 appointments on my calendar last month and it finally clicked that I'm not just filling slots, I'm managing a whole little community of people. It stops being about the haircut itself and starts being about being the guy they trust with that part of their week. Makes you want to keep the place cleaner and remember their kids' names, you know? That number turns a job into something you actually own.

Congrats on the milestone, that's a real sign you're doing it right. I see what @the_andrew means about the community part, though for me the number just proved I could pay rent. The trust comes later, after you stop sweating the basics.
