TIL a home haircut turned into a three-ring pet show
I was trying out a new taper on my buddy in my garage barber setup. His dog, a hyper little terrier, thought the buzzing sound meant playtime. It started barking and jumping at my legs while I had the clippers in hand. I nearly dropped them when it tried to catch the falling hair clippings mid-air. My buddy was laughing so hard he shook, messing up the line I was working on. We had to call a time-out to calm the pup down with treats. Now I know to put pets in another room before any haircut session.

Oh man, that sounds like a total circus. My cat does something similar whenever I trim my own beard, she bats at the little hairs like they're toys. It's wild how pets zero in on that stuff. You're totally right about putting them in another room first.

Thought it was no big deal until my cat started hunting beard trimmings. Now I always shut her out first.

Close the door all the way when you lock her out! Mine figured out how to nudge it open if it's not latched. A quick sweep for stray hairs after helps too.
