My weekend binge of 'The Bear' changed how I pick shows
I used to only start shows with at least three full seasons, thinking they were a safer bet. Last Saturday, I gave the first season of 'The Bear' a shot and finished all eight episodes in one sitting. The tight story and clear ending made me realize a short, complete arc can be better than a long, drawn-out one. Has anyone else found themselves preferring these compact series lately?

Consider how this changes the way you watch a show. You focus on the craft of each scene instead of just waiting for a bigger plot to kick in later. It feels more like watching a good movie.
