Showerthought: My game group used to be all about the rules, now we just want to laugh
About two years back, our weekly game night in Columbus was a serious affair, with rulebook arguments over every tiny detail in games like Gloomhaven. Now, after one guy brought Wavelength last month, the whole vibe shifted. We spend half the time just cracking up over terrible clues and barely keep score. It's like we finally remembered games are supposed to be fun. Has anyone else's group gone from super competitive to just wanting a good time?

Remember when we argued about Monopoly money for an hour...

Oh man, that argument was wild. I totally used to think the orange ones were the most valuable. Then I actually counted the money in the box last time we played and my whole world changed.

Last week our group in Chicago had basically the same shift when someone brought Telestrations after years of heavy Euro games. @lunab97 you get it completely, those little realizations about how we play can really change everything. It's nice to let go of the competition and just be silly together, even if we miss half the clues.
