Rant: I keep seeing guys in Chicago lay brick without checking the line every third course.

They just eyeball it and then wonder why the wall looks wavy from ten feet away. Anyone else run into this on a crew?

Is it a time thing or just pure laziness? I've seen guys rush to finish a section and skip basic checks, but that ripple effect is a nightmare to fix later. Do you call them out or just let the foreman handle it?

Ugh, that's the worst. Saw a guy skip checking his level on a door frame last week. Whole thing was off by an inch, and we had to redo the drywall around it. Do you think the pressure to hit deadlines makes guys ignore the basics, or is it just not caring about the next shift?
