That $5 door draft stopper from the dollar store actually works better than my $30 one
I was fed up with the cold air sneaking in under my front door last winter. My buddy kept telling me to just grab the cheap foam tube from the dollar store instead of the fancy one at Home Depot. After 3 months of use, the cheap one still holds tight while the expensive one got flattened out. Has anyone else tried the dollar store version and had it hold up longer than you expected?

Did you check how the draft stopper actually seals against the door? The cheap ones usually just sit there but the fancy one might have a better shape to block air. I am curious if the cheap one stays put when the door opens and closes a bunch of times.

@uma_baker99 I get what you are saying about the shape but sometimes paying more just gets you a fancier plastic piece that does the same thing. My cheap one slides around a little when the door opens but it still blocks the draft just fine. Is it really worth losing sleep over a draft stopper that might last a whole season instead of half a season?
