Finally gave up on my $200 chef's knife for a $12 one
I spent a year babying this expensive blade, sharpening it every Sunday, still chipped it on a chicken bone last Tuesday. Then my buddy handed me his cheap stainless knife from the hardware store and it chopped through everything like butter, no fuss. Anyone else ditch the fancy gear once they saw what a basic tool could do?

Same thing happened to me with a $150 pan, bought a $15 one at a discount store and it cooks better and doesn't warp. Expensive stuff is just marketing sometimes, lol.
