Found out a can of beans costs $0.79 at Aldi compared to $1.49 at the regular grocery store near me
I just checked the prices at my local Aldi on Broadway and the same Great Value brand beans were almost double the price at the Safeway down the street, has anyone else noticed this big of a difference with other staples like rice or pasta?

My wallet actually cried a little when I saw the difference, and I'm pretty sure the beans at Aldi make my chili taste exactly the same for half the price. Rice is even crazier I swear my local store wants like $2 more for a bag of jasmine rice than Aldi. Guess I'm officially an Aldi convert now, my thrifty heart can't handle paying full price ever again.

Not quite right about the rice though, @paige_ellis59. Aldi's jasmine rice is actually pretty good but my local store sells it for almost the same as Walmart. You gotta watch the unit prices, they sneak that stuff in sometimes. Their canned tomatoes are the real steal, way cheaper and taste just fine in chili. Just don't get tricked into thinking everything there is automatically cheaper.
