Just realized frozen veggies beat fresh for my soup budget

I kept tossing half a bag of limp celery and wilted carrots every week, that was like $8 down the drain in Portland. Switched to a $2 frozen mix for my chicken soup and it actually tastes better since I can dump it straight in the pot. Anyone else find frozen produce works better for their weekly meal plan or am I missing something?

Man, frozen veggies are the unsung hero of meal prep! I used to buy fresh spinach thinking I was being healthy, then watched it turn to slime in three days. Frozen corn and peas hold up way better in soups too, plus theyre already chopped and washed so dinner takes less time. I get that some folks care about texture for salads or roasting, but for anything cooked, frozen is just smarter. Youre definitely not missing something, youre saving money and cutting waste. Do you ever mix in frozen green beans or okra for extra body in the broth?
